Eevlatte is a small shop run by one artist. We only keep what we need to send your orders and answer your messages, and we never sell it.
When you order
We keep your email address, your name and shipping address, what you bought and what you paid, so we can pack and ship your order, send you a receipt and tracking, and handle returns. Payments are handled by Stripe (cards and wallets) or PayPal: you type your card or PayPal details on their pages, and we never see or store card numbers.
If you choose Pay in person, we keep your name and email address with the order so we can arrange where to meet, and nothing is paid online.
Orders are kept as sales records for as long as we need them for returns, tax and our accounts, even if you later delete your account.
Accounts (optional)
You can always shop as a guest; an account is only for seeing your orders and their tracking in one place. For an account we keep your email address, your password (stored scrambled, so nobody at Eevlatte can read it), when you joined and last signed in, and whether you've confirmed your email. Orders you place while signed in, and guest orders made with your confirmed email, show in your account.
Changing your email: write to us from your account's current email and we'll change it; we send a confirmation link to the new address and a notice to the old one.
Deleting your account: you can do it yourself under Settings. Your account, password and sign-in details are deleted straight away. Orders you placed are kept as sales records, no longer linked to an account.
When you write to us
Messages sent with the contact form (your name, email and message) are saved so we can answer them, and forwarded to our inbox.
Emails
We only email you about your orders (receipt, shipping and tracking) and your account (confirming your email, resetting your password, changes to your account). No newsletters or marketing.
Cookies
We use one cookie to remember your cart and keep you signed in (for up to two weeks), and a security cookie that protects our forms. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser only.
Who else handles your data
- Stripe and PayPal take payments.
- Amazon Web Services (in the US) runs our server, keeps nightly backups and sends our emails.
- The postal carrier (such as USPS) gets your name and address on the parcel.
To stop people misusing the shop (for example guessing passwords), we count attempts per internet address for up to an hour, and note the address of repeated failed attempts in our server logs.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we don't need to keep for sales records. Get in touch and we'll reply as soon as we can.
